Course Objectives This course aims at teaching the technical and conceptual fundamentals of video and its production in the frame of visual communication design requirements; to imagine and frame narratives as moving images; to create storyboard and animatics to present their visual ideas. Students will have the ability to create motion projects from the concept phase to the finished product with technical fluency.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • create storyboards and animatics using mixed media techniques to communicate their animation, motion graphics and video project ideas
  • to re-create the production steps of any motion project in real life commercial scenarios
  • to edit, reformat and prepare moving images for the final presentation medium
  • to conceptualize and create narratives within moving image techniques and concepts
  • to create storyboard and animations to express their moving image projects
Course Description This course covers the concepts and techniques for storyboards and animatics which are the first steps of any motion graphic project. The students will learn to communicate their ideas more effectively by visualizing their ideas with the help of storyboards and animatics for any motion graphic project before production.
