FACULTY OF FINE ARTS AND DESIGN
Department of Visual Communication Design
The "Visual Narratives - Short Film Production in Visual Communication" workshop, organized by the Department of Visual Communication Design at Izmir University of Economics, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design as part of "Workshop Week," has successfully concluded with a final screening.
Held between April 21–25 at Studio D360, the intensive one-week workshop focused closely on short film theory and production. Participating Visual Communication Design students gained hands-on experience by shooting and editing their own original short films, successfully transforming conceptual ideas into cinematic narratives.
Organized and coordinated by Research Assistant Beyza Batır and facilitated by Derya Efe and Berkay Hasbay, the event culminated in a special screening of the short films, the product of the students' week-long dedication; at the D Block 5th-floor foyer area. Received with great acclaim from the audience, the screening marked the successful conclusion of the workshop process.
We congratulate our student participants; Gözde Naz Terzi, Atahan Tanrıverdi, Sude Ökte, Asmin Örnek, Ceren Çavuş, Tuğçe Karaca, Pelin Ecem Gülfedakar, and Ayşe Rana Şermet for their wonderful projects, and extend our sincere thanks to Berk Tuğcu and Aşkım Barış Ferhatoğlu for their valuable support throughout the event.
