Course Objectives Exhibition design is a synthesis of multiple design disciplines that come together to communicate objects, information, and ideas across a range of three-dimensional environments. This course aims to develop the understanding of exhibition methods, strategies and tools of design object and digital media within exhibition design.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • classify techniques and media used in multiple exhibitions venues.
  • create an object display using fundamental storytelling techniques.
  • discuss how exhibition practices affect the design process
  • apply exhibition design methods and strategies to online or physical exhibition spaces.
  • present creative work on exhibition design in a clear and cohesive manner.
  • describe recent trends in the development of digital exhibitions and museum interactives.
Course Description This course considers the exhibition from the perspectives of communication, design, spatial planning, image manipulation, narrative, color, lighting, typography and multimedia across multiple exhibition venues. It includes assignments, in-class exercises done in groups and individually and a project that requires a display setting in form of an installation for one’s own design project.
