Department of Visual Communication DesignFestival success of Asil Atay, the VCD graduate
Asil Atay, our graduate student of 2017, has managed to get mentions for his most recent project “Unraveled” in the official selection of three big festivals. “Unraveled” is an animation prepared as a graduation project by Atay and three team members, all of whom continue their graduate programme in the Design College of Barcelona. The team has been mentioned in the official selection of the 60-year-old Annecy and the 15th Athens ANIMFEST, while competing as a finalist in the International Short Film Competition of the 50th USA Film Festival.
The “Unraveled” team includes Arden Colley from USA, Isabel Wiegand from Italy, and Kellie Fay from Canada besides Asil Atay. The synopsis is about a young woman who relives a pivotal moment that embodies her relationship with her mother.
