Department of Visual Communication Design“A Visual Frame / Her Mess, His Mess” Workshop
Stefano Cardini from Italy was the guest of Izmir University of Economics Visual Communication Design Department as part of the traditional workshop event that brings students from each year together every semester. Cardini presented design solutions derived from a square or rectangular piece of cloth as a two dimensional surface and supervised the students during these three days from 20 to 22 November.
The workshop took off with the presentation by Cardini showing examples about the topic, and continued with students’ efforts to choose their own scenario and user needs in the afternoon. After working three days long, with mainly cloth material, the students presented their designs to the jury consisting of the academic staff and Stefano Cardini.
The output of the “A Visual Frame / Her Mess, His Mess” workshop shows the first steps of VCD staff and students on their way to Milano Design Week in April 2020.
Stefano Cardini previously visited Izmir University of Economics as a guest of VCD in 2014 and conducted the “Izmir 2015: EXPOse yourself to life” visual identity workshop.
